About
I am a Penn State University graduate with a degree in journalism, with a concentration in photojournalism and multimedia.
The courses I took at Penn State have helped me to prepare myself to be able to tell stories in a new, exciting and visual way. The new media is the future of print journalism and as a recent graduate I am fully prepared to take advantage of it.
While attending Penn State University, I was enrolled in many journalism, photojournalism and multimedia courses that have helped prepare me for a career. I am enthusiastic, determined, hard working and have a strong foundation in my understanding of the area of photojournalism and multimedia. I am looking forward to learn aspects that can only be taught through real world interaction.
I have experience with color photography and own nikon equipment. I also have experience with multimedia, including video, audio and soundslides. I have experience in Final Cut Pro, Adobe Flash, Adobe Photoshop, and other multimedia programs. I consider myself to be a very technical person and adapt well to changes.
Much of my photography experience has been gained through the Daily Collegian, an award winning student run newspaper at Penn State University. While working at the Daily Collegian I had the opportunity to shoot breaking news, features, sports assignments and anything else I was assigned. This daily student paper has prepared me for what to expect within a professional newsroom.
I am currently seeking a position as a photojournalist in Pennsylvania.
